Our History

Proudly serving the Copper Coast since 1869...

St Mary MacKillop School, formerly known as Kalori Catholic School, was established by the Sisters of St Joseph in 1869. To this day, some 150+ years later, we still have regular contact with the Sisters and although no sisters are currently on staff, the ethos, values and ideals developed by them remain a vital part of our educational and religious vision. We are proud to be a part of CESA (Catholic Education South Australia - http://www.cesa.catholic.edu.au/) and the Port Pirie Diocese under the direction and leadership of Bishop Karol Kulczycki and Nichii Mardon (Director): http://www.cesapp.catholic.edu.au/ and http://www.pp.catholic.org.au/

We are a proudly Catholic parish school serving the Copper Coast and surrounding areas and offer an education for your sons and daughters from the moment they begin their formal schooling in Reception through to Year 7.

In choosing a school, you are making a critical decision for your child. We are proud to offer a nurturing community where children are valued and respected. To support this, we welcome families to our school who are willing to be active participants and help bring our vision closer to realisation.

Our extensive learning programme is supported by up to date facilities and staff who are committed to the development of each individual child.

I would welcome the opportunity to meet with your family to discuss your needs, share the educational benefits of St Mary MacKillop School and take a tour of our school facilities and grounds. Please contact the school and make an appointment
